Alert notifications don't reach my phone
Push notifications are the last link of a chain — each link has to hold:
- The rule fired at all? Check Settings → Alerts: the rule must be enabled, and remember Hold for delays the alert (default 60 s of the reading staying past the trip value) — a brief dip won't fire.
- Is the van linked? Notifications travel through the Remote Dashboard. Settings → Remote Dashboard must show LINKED AND CONNECTED. LINKED (SWITCHED OFF) means the link is fine but its Activate remote dashboard switch is off — turn it back on (Remote Dashboard settings). A Home Assistant broker connected at the same time does not affect this; the two connections are independent.
- Does the van have internet? The alert chip appearing locally but no notification arriving usually means the van's uplink is down.
- Phone side — the app must be signed in to the same account the van is linked to, and the phone's notification permission for it must be allowed.
- Already notified? Each alert notifies once, when it starts firing. It is not repeated while it keeps firing, and recovering sends nothing — so an alert you can see on the chip having sent no notification just now is normal if it was already firing.
