A device stopped updating

A card whose numbers have stopped changing, or whose status dot has gone red, means the panel has lost that device. Work down this list:

1. Check the dot

The dot in the card's top-left corner: red (disconnected) or amber (connecting) confirms a connection problem; green with frozen numbers is rare and usually fixes itself within a minute.

2. Is the device's own app connected?

For connected Bluetooth devices (shunt, heater, BMS, Renogy, Truma, OBD, LED controllers), the panel and the device's own phone app can't be connected at the same time. Close the app fully and give it a minute.

3. Is the device powered and in range?

Batteries die (Mopeka coin cells especially) and Bluetooth range through a vehicle body is short. If the device recently moved further from the panel, that can be the whole story.

4. Restart the panel

Settings → System → Restart (or the web app's same page). This resets every Bluetooth connection cleanly, and devices reconnect within a minute or two of the restart. It fixes the large majority of stuck-device cases — including a known condition where a device silently drops in a way the radio doesn't notice, after which it will not reconnect until the restart.

5. Did they all stop at once?

Every Bluetooth device going quiet at the same moment is a different problem from one device dropping: it points at the panel's radio rather than at any of the devices. Restart the panel (step 4), and make sure it is on current firmware — a fault that could take the whole set of devices down when a single one disconnected was fixed in a firmware update (Updates). If a restart brings them all back and it happens again, that is worth reporting.

6. Power-cycle the device

If one specific device still won't come back, power it off and on (pull the fuse, remove the sensor's battery for ten seconds). Some devices stop advertising when they believe they're still connected to something.
