A device doesn't show up in Discovered nearby
Discovered nearby only lists devices the panel can positively recognise, so an absent device is not necessarily unreachable.
- Already installed devices are hidden from the list on purpose.
- All slots full? The discovery strip hides entirely when no slot is free.
- Some models can't be auto-recognised. Renogy, JDB BMS, OBD dongles, and some KL shunts advertise too generically to identify with confidence. Add them manually instead: Add device, pick the type, and tap Scan next to the MAC field — the scan lists every nearby Bluetooth device by name and address, recognised or not.
- Check "Other nearby devices" below the recognised list — if your device appears there, the panel can hear it and a manual add by that MAC will work.
- Bluetooth off? Check the toggle under Settings → Network → Bluetooth (or the panel's pull-down shade).
- Range — bring the device (or the van) closer for the initial add; see How devices connect.
- Truma only becomes addable while its pairing mode is armed — see Truma iNet X.
