Renogy MPPT + DC-DC

The Renogy MPPT + DC-DC type is for Renogy combo chargers such as the DCC50S, which charge the house battery from solar and from the alternator in one unit. Installing one adds two dashboard cards: Solar (solar watts, amps, and charging volts, plus the charging state) and DC to DC (alternator charging figures). Read-only.

Adding one

Renogy units usually advertise as "BT-TH-…" or "BT-2-…". Recognition of these is a best-guess — if yours doesn't appear in Discovered nearby, add it manually: Add device → Renogy MPPT + DC-DC and its MAC address (Scan lists nearby Bluetooth devices).

This device uses a Bluetooth connection, so it counts against the Bluetooth connection limit. The Renogy phone app can't be connected at the same time as the panel.

Known limitation

The alternator-side input voltage and current are not currently reported and show "--" on the DC to DC card; the charge-side figures are live.

Problems?

• Readings frozen → close the Renogy app if it's open, then see A device stopped updating.
