Monoty A6
The Monoty A6 is a distribution box with six switched outputs (relays), two dimmable outputs, and four resistive tank-level probe inputs. Installing one adds four dashboard cards: relays, dimmers, and two tank cards.
Adding one
The A6 shows up in Discovered nearby on the Devices page — tap Add. Its Bluetooth MAC is used even if you later switch it to WiFi.
Bluetooth or WiFi
The Transport setting in the A6's configuration chooses how the panel talks to it:
- Bluetooth (default) — works out of the box, but occupies one of the panel's Bluetooth connections.
- WiFi — the panel hands the A6 the panel's own WiFi details over Bluetooth once, and control moves to the network. This frees the Bluetooth connection for another device.
In WiFi mode, if the A6 later can't be reached on the network (router changed, WiFi password changed), switch Transport back to Bluetooth — or restart the panel, which re-runs the WiFi handover.
Naming relays, dimmers and tanks
In the A6's configuration, the Relays tab lets you name each of the six relay buttons ("Water pump", "Awning lights"…) — the names appear on the relay card on the panel and in the app. The Dimmers tab does the same for the two dimmer sliders ("Cabin lights", "Awning lights"). Each Tank tab has a Tank name shown on the tank cards.
Tank calibration
The A6 reports each tank probe's raw electrical resistance; the percentage you see is computed from the calibration in each Tank tab:
- Full resistance (Ω) — what the probe reads when the tank is full (default 190).
- Empty resistance (Ω) — the reading when empty (default 10).
- Tank capacity (L) — the tank's size.
If a tank reads backwards (full shows empty), the full and empty values are swapped for your probe type — swap them back. Calibration and names are stored on the panel, not in the A6, and can be changed any time without a restart.
A tank that isn't wired up
If a probe input has nothing connected to it, or the probe wire has broken, the A6 cannot measure a level on that input. The panel holds that tank's last known reading rather than showing it as empty, so unused Tank 3 and Tank 4 inputs sit at whatever they last read — or at -- if they have never read a level since the panel started. A tank card that never moves while the others do is worth checking at the probe end: a loose or corroded connection at the probe or at the A6's input terminal is the usual cause.
Problems?
- Relay/dimmer cards greyed or frozen in WiFi mode → the A6 lost the network; switch Transport to Bluetooth or restart the panel.
- Readings frozen in Bluetooth mode → see A device stopped updating.
- One tank frozen while the rest update → that probe is out of range or not connected; check the probe wiring and the A6 input terminal.
